During the association's recent annual meeting held in Denver, PEARL members re-elected the Board of Directors to a new term. The Board subsequently added a new, non-voting Alternate Director position and elected Michael Habeeb of North American Switchgear, Inc. (Cleveland, OH) to that position.

During an open forum section of PEARL's member-only annual business meeting, members unanimously voted to elect PEARL's existing Board of Directors to a new term. A later email ballot confirmed the voice vote held during the annual meeting. PEARL's Board of Directors serve 1-year terms with elections held each year in April during the annual meeting.

"The elected officers look forward to another year in governance and promotion of PEARL," says Brian Corekin, PEARL President, and President of Monster Fuses (Portland, OR). "This year, we've also created an 'Alternate Director' position. The Alternate Director will automatically replace any board member, should there be a need for them to step down from the Board before the end of their 1-year term. Although the Alternate Director position is a non-voting member of the Board of Directors, they will participate in all meetings and discussions. We hope to add a second Alternate Director position in the coming months. The Board would like to ask that all full voting members of PEARL consider submitting a candidate for this position."

PEARL members, or parties interested in the details or procedures related to the elections, should contact PEARL Association Manager, Mark Stone, at (877) 287-3275, or send an email to pearl@pearl1.org. For more information about PEARL, visit the association's website at www.Pearl1.org.
